When is the best time to plant your ready-to-plant kit garden?
The best seasons to install your ready-to-plant kit are autumn and winter, from October to February. It is, of course, possible to plant at any time of year, particularly in spring from March to the end of May. When you place your order, we'll tell you the best time to plant your garden and give you all the advice you need to install and maintain it.
Can I change some of the plants in my ready-to-plant kit?
The plants in your ready-to-plant kit are excellent quality, hardy plants that adapt to all types of terrain, even the most difficult. Our gardens combine several varieties of plants that are designed to live together, creating a harmonious garden.
We do not include very specific plant requirements, as these may need a particular soil (draining or not, damp or not, etc.) or specific conditions to develop. These plants would not form a harmonious ecosystem with the rest of our plants. Finally, we would not be able to deliver these particular plants ourselves. You can add other plants on your own, bearing in mind that you should always select a good quality so that they can quickly take root in your home and you can enjoy your garden as soon as possible.
Are the plants on offer suited to the exposure of my garden?
The plants proposed for your garden project are adapted to the exposure and layout of your plot. It is therefore important when creating the 3D design to indicate the location of the house, annexes (garden shed, garage, etc.) and existing trees on your plot. Thanks to these indications, the 3D tool will know the sunny and shady areas of your plot and will suggest suitable plants accordingly.
Are the plants delivered by Draw Me A Garden guaranteed?
Our landscape gardener Guillaume Gosse de Gorre selects top-quality plants for you from his nursery suppliers. Transport and delivery are adapted to ensure that these plants arrive in excellent condition so that they can take root and grow easily in your garden. However, if you notice a problem despite the care taken by our team and the planting advice (instruction guide included in the kit), please contact us at contact@dmag.fr or via the messaging system in your personal space. Send us one or more photos of your plant in its current state in your garden, and describe the situation. Once our expert has checked and analysed the condition of the plant, we'll tell you how to proceed.
How do I know if the plants in my ready-to-plant kit are suitable for my soil?
Most plots built over the last 30 years are made up of a thick layer of fairly poor fill soil, often excessively compacted by the wheels of machinery when the house was built. We assume that the soil in your garden has been impoverished, and that it will be necessary to plant solid, quality plants so that they can adapt easily to the terrain. We have therefore selected plants that adapt to most soils, even poor ones. So we've come up with a mix of hardy, vigorous perennials, trees and shrubs that will thrive in your home without difficulty.
Are the plants proposed suitable for clay soils?
The plants we have chosen for all our gardens are pioneer-type plants that are adapted to clay soils. The grasses, perennials and shrubs in our range are robust and hardy: they require little care and can adapt to harsher conditions, so these plants are well suited to clay soils.
