How tall are the plants in my ready-to-plant garden kit?
We choose our plants carefully, so that we can offer you plants of excellent quality, of a good size and at an affordable price. The trees and shrubs in your garden will vary in size depending on the season and the variety. Your shrubs, and even some hydrangeas paniculata, can be up to 1.5 metres tall, while the stocked trees in the Nature Libre garden can be up to 2 metres tall. Other shrubs will have a more measured height. For perennials and grasses, heights vary greatly from one variety to another and especially from one season to another. Note that perennials and grasses are very short in winter, which is normal as they are at rest! In spring, they will develop very quickly and take on volume.
The most important thing is to have a quality plant that will grow back in your home without any difficulty.
When is the best time to plant your ready-to-plant kit garden?
The best seasons to install your ready-to-plant kit are autumn and winter, from October to February. It is, of course, possible to plant at any time of year, particularly in spring from March to the end of May. When you place your order, we'll tell you the best time to plant your garden and give you all the advice you need to install and maintain it.
How long do I have to install my ready-to-plant kit once my order has arrived?
We advise you to plant your plants within a few days of receiving your ready-to-plant garden kit. Your plants will thrive better in the ground than in their pots. If you have a setback, water the plants regularly, as humidity is not retained in their pots.
Can I change some of the plants in my ready-to-plant kit?
The plants in your ready-to-plant kit are excellent quality, hardy plants that adapt to all types of terrain, even the most difficult. Our gardens combine several varieties of plants that are designed to live together, creating a harmonious garden.
We do not include very specific plant requirements, as these may need a particular soil (draining or not, damp or not, etc.) or specific conditions to develop. These plants would not form a harmonious ecosystem with the rest of our plants. Finally, we would not be able to deliver these particular plants ourselves. You can add other plants on your own, bearing in mind that you should always select a good quality so that they can quickly take root in your home and you can enjoy your garden as soon as possible.
How do I prepare my site before receiving my order?
If your land is flat and covered with lawn, we recommend that you mow the areas to be planted very short, as this will make it easier to position the planting bed on the short-cut grass. There's no need to prepare or spade the entire surface. If the soil in your garden has recently been turned over with a rototiller, plan to flatten the ground by rolling it with a lawn roller, for example. It is important that the soil is flat and compacted so that you can easily position the cardboard planting plan.
